This step by step guide aims to give you a insight into how Unique Building Services operates. The process might be shortened dependent on your project yet the core steps are followed whether it is a small project or large project.

2. Site Assessment

We will visit your site to assess and discuss the options available to you. If you have already had the plans drawn up we will run through your design with you and offer our experience to ensure the design is perfect for your needs.

3. Design

If you have not already gone through this process we will arrange for our preferred and experienced architects to engage with you to carry out a site survey prior to drawing up the plans for your project.

4. Quotation

Once you are happy with the design and plans drawn up by the architect, we will draw up our quotation within 7 days. This stage will also advise on tentative timescales for the project.

5. Contracts

On acceptance of our quotation, our standard build contracts will be drawn up prior to the commencement of any works and agreed with you.

6. Building Regulations

We will complete any required paperwork that the architect needs and we will assist the architect to manage the process with the Local Authority on your behalf, including attending all site inspections as required.

7. Time Frame

We develop a project plan for your project and agree the start date. We will have weekly meetings with all stakeholders to update on progression against the plan as they are a great way to see the progression and to discuss variations that might come up.

8. Enabling Works

We set the site up ready for the main works to commence, this includes protection to areas not being disturbed, delivery of plant and early materials.

9. Building process

Each building project is unique so the building process needs to be carefully considered to the specific requirements of the project. Although we have core working routines for work we rely on, the build process will be specifically designed for your project.

10. Building Control

The building inspector is called in for their final inspection to sign the project off and arrange for the completion certificate to be forwarded on to yourselves.

11. Hand over

We fully go through the site to check that you are happy with all aspects, ensure you are fully aware of maintenance routines, and how to operate different components of the project that you need to be trained on. Only when you are fully happy will we hand over the project to you.

12. After Sales Service

Once we hand over the project, it doesn’t end there. We are available to you 7 days a week post completion should there be anything you require from us. We want to ensure our clients are happy even after project completion.
